What Women are Saying About Their Boudoir Experience
Over the years, women from across Maryland have trusted Schuler Studios to create timeless, artistic boudoir portraits that celebrate their beauty. Here, you’ll hear directly from our clients—in their own words—about what their boudoir session meant to them.
Client Spotlight: Katie
In this video, Katie sees her album for the first time then we chatted about her boudoir experience and how it affected her.
When your were on the way to the studio, what was going through your mind?
“I woke up that morning and I was, like, okay I need to get ready, and then definitely some sort of bubbly nerves. Maybe I'm just an anxious driver but, you know when you're on your way to something unknown and unexpected, it's kind of like: what is it going to be like? what is the studio going to be like? what is it going to be like to meet you in person? Although the video call was super helpful.”
What was your favorite part of the experience?
“I’m going to say two favorite moments. My first favorite moment is when I walked out into the studio for the first time and felt the wave of anxiety subside and got into that first pose. The second favorite moment was the slideshow. Because you don't really know what you look like in the pictures, but then just seeing that slideshow presentation—I'm pretty sure I was completely silent the entire time”
“It was so strange, though I could hardly believe those photos were me, at the same time they truly captured my essence. This was me, without the worry and self doubt that usually creeps up. This was a me that loved her body, and was grateful for the space it took up. This was a me that embraced every part of myself, and whose confidence shined through the screen.”

Client Spotlight: Desiree
In this video I caught up with Desiree to chat about the highlights of her boudoir experience.
What was going through your mind on the way to the studio?
“So many thoughts! My mind was literally racing. I was very excited… And every time I felt like I was getting a little nervous, I remembered our conversations leading up to the day and I was, like, okay just calm down you're in a comfortable space. It's going to be fun. Just have fun!”
What was your favorite part of the whole experience?
“My favorite part was when I got to see that very first image off the camera after you took it. It was just, like a WOW moment for how pretty I looked… I saw it and it took my breath away a little bit and I was, like, I can't wait to see all the rest of them!”
What would you say to a friend who was on the fence about a boudoir shoot?
“Find an artist that you are comfortable with to be that vulnerable with. And also to just trust the process. For sure, I would 100% recommend you and your company, because from the very beginning you did all the things to make me feel comfortable and confident in my choice of who I'm doing this with.”
A Letter to Her Younger Self
My Body is Beautiful.
My Body is Strong.
My Body is Phenomenal.
We had some down time while Desiree was waiting for her slideshow to be ready, so I handed her a note card and suggested that she write a letter to her younger self. What she wrote blew me away!

On Creating a Unique Gift
Michaela
“I was searching for a unique wedding gift when I came across the idea of a boudoir shoot—and I’m so glad I did! I was a little nervous going into it, but Greg immediately put me at ease. He made the entire experience feel comfortable, empowering, and honestly, a lot of fun! Now the hardest part is just deciding how to present the final photos. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out!”
