How to Download Your Boudoir Images
Whether you purchased a digital collection or only printed photo products, we always make the corresponding digitals available for your personal use.
Your Boudoir Image Gallery
We use a platform called PixieSet, which is used by many professional photographers to host client image galleries. All of your purchased images will be uploaded to a gallery that is configured only allow downloads by the client only (based on your email address) and require a password. We will provide you with a software-generated strong password for this purpose.
Having an online gallery allows you to review the images after they have been retouched and before they are printed. The gallery also allows us to communicate with you about things like which image to use as an album cover photo, whether to convert certain images to black-and-white, and so forth.
About 3 to 5 business days after your boudoir session you should receive an email containing the gallery link and password. To view the gallery, follow the link in the email and enter your email address and password.
NOTE: The gallery is not an archive! It is your responsibility to download your images and keep them safe and secure.
Download Instructions
To download all of the images at once, click the download icon (down-arrow) on the right above the thumbnail images. You may have to re-enter your email address at this point and then you will see a download page.
If the photos are partitioned into several folders, use the checkboxes to select which folder(s) to download.
You have a choice of High Resolution or Web Size (more about this below).
Besides downloading to your computer or mobile device, you may also choose Google Photos or Dropbox in the Download To section.
Click the Start Download button to proceed.
If you are downloading to your computer, PixieSet will create a ZIP file that contains all of your images. The details of how to download and expand ZIP files depends or your browser and operating system.
It is also possible to download images one-at-a-time (each image has a triple-dot menu with more options). You might use this option if have downloaded all of the images to your computer but only want a few selected images on your phone.
Image Sizes
For archiving purposes, we recommend that you go through the download process twice to get both high-resolution and web sizes and keep them in separate folders.
The high-resolution files are the original resolution captured by the camera and they may be quite large (about 10-20 MB each). In case your photo lab needs to know, they are JPEG format, sRGB color space, and 300 dpi (dots per inch).
The web-resolution files are much smaller. They are the best choice for keeping on your phone or (if you’re not shy!) sharing on social media.
Keep Your Images Safe and Secure
Your image gallery will only be online for up to 30 days! It is your responsibility to download the digitals within this timeframe.
We recommend that you go through the download process twice to get both sizes and keep them in separate folders.
As soon as we have confirmed a successful download, the image gallery will be deleted. Your privacy is important to us and we want to limit the risk of accidental unauthorized access by minimizing the amount of time the images exist online.
Just as you would with any other important files, make backup copies and keep them in multiple locations for redundancy. With any cloud-based storage, use basic security precautions, such a s strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
