If you’ve ever felt intimidated by the idea of a boudoir photo session — unsure how it works, what you’d wear, or whether it would actually feel comfortable — you’re not alone.
Most of that uncertainty doesn’t come from the experience itself. It comes from not knowing what’s involved.
That is completely understandable. This is personal. You should know exactly what you’re stepping into.
On this page, we’ll walk you through the full boudoir experience — before, during, and after — so you know how it works, what’s included, and how we we design it to be the experience you’ve been imagining.
Start by Reaching Out

The next step is a short (10-20 min) phone call. This is an informal conversation where you can ask questions, talk through what you’re looking for, and decide whether moving forward makes sense.
If everything feels like a good fit, we’ll secure your date, select one of our two private, natural-light studios, and move into planning.

Planning Your Session
The planning session is one of the most important parts of the process — and the biggest contributor to success.
Most planning sessions happen via a video call, although in-person planning may also be an option. It typically takes place 2–4 weeks before your session, which allows enough time to plan outfits thoughtfully instead of rushing decisions.
During the planning session, we:
Talk through your comfort level and goals
Review inspiration images together
Narrow down outfits and styling ideas
Discuss what you do and don’t want photographed
Seeing images together on a shared screen makes it much easier to get aligned than trying to describe things verbally.

Your Special Day
A boudoir session typically takes around 4 hours, but most ladies take the entire day off work (hey, why not?).
Here’s how your day will unfold:
On arrival, the photographer will meet you at your car, help with your things, and show you around the studio.
After unpacking your outfits, we’ll go over which wardrobe choices will work best on camera.
Then you’ll be pampered with professional hair, makeup, and lashes – all provided on-site at the studio.
During the photoshoot, you’ll get detailed direction on posing and facial expression – no experience needed.
And here’s the best part – right away you’ll see a slideshow of your amazing photos and order your artwork.

The Big Reveal
There’s something special about the instant gratification of seeing your photos revealed in the studio right after the photoshoot. Waiting and wondering can be agonizing.
But sometimes we need do it a different way.
Some clients are from out-of-town and need to catch a flight. Others have restricted schedules due to family obligations. Others simply prefer to have the reveal and ordering session in the comfort of their own home.
In our pre-session communications we’ll work out what works best for your situation.
